    Overview/Learning Outcomes: This presentation will look at the role of Personalised Dental Medicine in 21st century dental practice. It will start by looking at the size of the challenge presented by periodontal diseases, and the WHOs 2022/23 Oral Health Strategy and move onto discuss how there is a need to put the patient at the centre of all we do. The session will then put a lens on gingivitis as a new paradigm and explain why there is a need to take it seriously in the context of primary prevention of periodontitis, but also its impact on systemic diseases. The lecture will finish by looking at multi-disciplinary team working between Oral Healthcare Professionals and Medical colleagues, why that is important and how we can make it work in a bi-directional manner.
