It includes a live demonstration of industry-leading equipment and practical techniques for conservative preparation. Participants will also learn ergonomic positioning to enhance control, accuracy, and comfort for both patient and clinician.

Learning Objectives:
•  Demonstrate an evidence-based and effective understanding of functional and aesthetic principles in posterior tooth preparation for indirect restorations. 
•  Identify key clinical and anatomical and physiological considerations when preparing posterior teeth, including occlusal clearance, axial wall height, and margin design, to support predictable restorative outcomes. 
•  Apply a structured, repeatable workflow for posterior tooth preparation, including preoperative assessment, isolation, and material selection to optimise adhesive and aesthetic outcomes. 
•  Evaluate and avoid common errors in posterior preparations that compromise restoration fit, function, or aesthetics
•  Communicate effectively with the dental laboratory through precise preparations and supporting records to ensure accurate restoration fabrication.

The phasing out of dental amalgam is already underway and a true alternative has been long awaited by the dental profession. The workshop will provide an overview of the new restorative STELA which is a viable alternative to amalgam involving a quick two-step procedure to restore virtually any cavity anteriorly or posteriorly. In this interactive session, Jaz Gulati and Cat Edney will demonstrate how loupe-mounted cameras can transform everyday clinical scenarios into powerful educational moments. The session will explore how real-time visuals—from oral cancer screenings to oral hygiene instruction, cracks, cavities, and periodontal pocketing—can improve patient understanding, boost compliance, and support shared co-diagnosis.
Delegates will not only observe these scenarios but will also gain hands-on experience with the Admetec Flamingo loupe-mounted camera technology, recording their own patient demonstrations to take away on the day.
