Tom Whiting

Tom joined the General Dental Council as its Chief Executive and Registrar in June 2024, from the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) where he was Acting Director General for 17 months, having been Deputy Director General since 2019.  Prior to the IOPC, Tom spent fourteen years in local government at Harrow Council, most recently as their Interim Chief Executive. Before that, Tom spent nine years in the energy and utilities practice at Accenture.
