Dental Trauma…from injury to rehabilitation

BDIA Dental Showcase is delighted to announce Aws Alani as a speaker at the upcoming event. Acting in his role as Consultant in Restorative Dentistry at Kings College Hospital he sees a broad spectrum of dental traumatic injuries which can present acutely or chronically. Further to this, in his role as Associate Professor at Plymouth Dental School, he is programme director of the MSc in Endodontics where he teaches postgraduates on immediate and delayed trauma management.

‘Dental trauma presents with a myriad of complex pathological, physiological and psychological challenges where injuries are unexpected, unplanned and plunges the patient into the need for extensive treatment spanning many of our disciplines from adhesive dentistry to implant provision. I will provide a comprehensive overview of the challenges faced where the anterior dentition suffers endodontic issues as well as the replacement of avulsed or otherwise structurally compromised units.’
