Simon Stone

Simon qualified from Newcastle University in 2006 and has subsequently undertaken a variety of clinical, research and teaching roles. He completed his PhD in 2013 prior to undertaking specialty training in endodontics as an academic trainee. Since 2017 he has been a Senior Clinical Lecturer/Honorary Consultant at Newcastle University and Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. His main role is as the Director of Clinical Studies with responsibility for the clinical aspects of the undergraduate programmes at Newcastle. He is a member of the Specialist Advisory Committee for restorative dentistry and is involved in leading national recruitment for Specialty Training in Restorative Dentistry this year. He has co-authored a number of endodontic and restorative research papers and book chapters in well known textbooks including Harty's Endodontics, Master Dentistry, Paediatric Dentistry, and Extra-Coronal Restorations.
