Shivam Kotecha

 Shivam graduated with Distinction from the University of Leeds in 2022. During his time there, he served as President of the Leeds University Dental Society and received several prestigious undergraduate awards, including the Watssman Prize in Clinical Dental Practice and Senior MChD Student of the Year. Currently, Shivam practices as a general dentist across two private clinics in Berkshire. He is also the co-founder of a specialised dental photography course designed to enhance practitioners’ skills in clinical photography. Shivam began his journey with the BACD as a student representative. After graduating, he was invited to join the Young Membership Committee, where he has now advanced to Committee Chair and Board member of the Academy. As Chair, Shivam aims to expand the BACD’s reach amongst younger colleagues, creating opportunities for students and early-career dentists to benefit from all the Academy has to offer.
