A dedicated dental surgeon with 23 years of NHS dentistry experience, I graduated from the University of Birmingham In 2002 and hold a Master's degree in Advanced Dentistry, along with certifications and a diploma in Implantology, Oral Surgery, and Aesthetic Medicine. Currently, I am completing an ILM qualification in Coaching and a Fellowship in Leadership, I am thoroughly enjoying learning about systems leadership and its impact on driving effective change.
My passion for coaching stems from a deep belief that the dental profession needs leaders who prioritize wellbeing and mindfulness, as dentistry can often be a very lonely profession. I aim to provide support and foster resilience within the profession, helping colleagues navigate challenges and thrive in their roles.
As the founder of the British Dental Action Group, I am committed to advocating for the dental profession and promoting equitable representation and improve services through new initiatives and have learnt from the NHS BAME Leadership Program and the GIRFT pilot. My extensive experience in multidisciplinary collaboration is exemplified by my advocacy work and community charity efforts, which support vulnerable and marginalized groups.
In addition to my professional pursuits, I am a proud mother of three and wife to an NHS intensive care and anaesthetic consultant. Together, we juggle our careers with a shared love for the NHS and a strong commitment to contributing to its improvement.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, expressing my creativity through art, design and needlework.
