Lisa Harwood Bird

Lisa Harwood Bird has worked with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for the past ten years, beginning her career as a Registration Inspector before moving into the national Oral Health Team, where she has been an Operations Manager for the last four years.

With more than two decades of experience in the dental sector prior to joining CQC, Lisa qualified as a Dental Nurse with additional certification in dental radiography. She has worked across both corporate and independent dental providers, taking on senior leadership roles that included compliance management, supporting service improvement, and overseeing the successful setup of multiple new squat practices.

Bringing together extensive frontline dental experience and regulatory insight, Lisa is dedicated to promoting safe, high‑quality oral healthcare and supporting providers to meet the standards patients deserve.
