Joanna Sutcliffe
Joanna graduated with honours from Bristol, and after a year working in practice in the Lake District came to Devon to do a year’s oral surgery training at the RD&E. After achieving Diplomas from the Royal College of Surgeons and Bristol University in the field of General Practice, she was a founding partner in an innovative new, out-of-town all female, private practice in Exeter. After 10 years, she left practice ownership to continue further post graduate studies at Bristol, achieving a distinction at diploma level in Dental Implants in 2016 and in 2018 was awarded a Master’s degree in Restorative Dentistry with Merit from the University of Plymouth. She has been involved in teaching undergraduate dental students at Peninsula dental school.
She on the board of the ADI and ITI implant groups, the Devon Independent practitioners’ group, Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry (SAAD), and the British Society of Restorative Dentistry (BSRD). This keeps her busy but up to date with modern practice.
Her passion is to work with you to improve and maintain all aspects of your oral health and to provide you with the highest quality care and service.
Her areas of interest include the provision of care for anxious patients requiring dental sedation, comprehensive care involving cosmetic or functional rehabilitation of your smile and the replacement of missing teeth/ stabilising dentures with dental implant treatment options.
