Aylin Baysan is Clinical Professor in Cariology and Specialist in Endodontics and Prosthodontics at Queen Mary University of London. She is also Adjunct Professor at Bezmialem Vakıf University, Istanbul and Honorary Professor at The University of Hong Kong. Aylin is Programme Director of Minimally Invasive Dentistry (MID) and founded the Clinical Doctorate in MID, supervising numerous PhD and MSc students. She received various awards including Procter & Gamble Award, Geriatric Research Group from International Association for Dental Research (IADR). Professor Baysan has authored over 60 peer-reviewed publications and edited Interdisciplinary Clinical and Scientific Approaches, the first MID textbook to include all Disciplines (2025). She founded and led IADR MID Research Network and served on Advisory Board of European Organisation for Caries Research. Aylin was IADR Cariology Research Group President (2024) and just became Geriatric Oral Research Councilor. An advocate for oral-systemic health, she promotes diabetes awareness and inclusive dental education.
