Miglionico, The pride of a product entirely made in Italy

Miglionico was founded in the year, 2000 and is the first company in Southern Italy to produce dental units. High quality standards have been achieved in a short period of time and today Miglionico is a brand which is sold in more than 40 countries worldwide. The dental units are completely manufactured in Italy and all phases of the production process take place within the company itself. Giuseppe Miglionico, founder and creative mind of Miglionico tells us his story:

When and how did you start doing this job?

Dental units have always fascinated me a lot and every time I repaired one, I imagined what the solution could have been in order to prevent the problem from occurring again.

After 15 years as a dental unit technician, I transformed the experience, which derived from having worked concretely in the sector, and fully understanding its needs, into an entrepreneurial project.

I was fortunate enough to work with many dentists and listening to their requests and understanding their practical, functional and ergonomic needs helped me a lot and thus: Miglionico’s units are the result of all this.

How does Miglionico differ from its competitors?

We are a company with an artisan heart which carefully chooses the best raw materials and thanks to the skilled hands of skilled workers and cutting-edge machinery, transform them to create our units.

The choice to focus exclusively on excellent materials such as polyurethane, iron, steel and especially glass for consoles allows us to differentiate ourselves from many competitors and offer the customer a solid and reliable tool with which to work.

Direct production management allows us to be flexible and competitive, being able to offer customized solutions. Meeting our customers’ needs is our primary goal.

It is important for us to establish a relationship of trust with our customers, through satisfactory all-round service: from the quality of the products, to the efficiency of Customer Care up to the ever growing presence of our distributors in vast areas.

All members of staff work with passion and commitment to ensure quality and reliability over time, managing to offer a 4-year guarantee on all Miglionico components.

What is Miglionico’s relationship with the market?

We are always listening. New technologies are strongly influencing the market and the new challenge is to be able to keep up with these changes and integrate new solutions into our products.

It is important for us to establish a continuous dialogue with those who are in the field on a daily basis, to invest in sector events so as to make a confrontation with our customers and competitors.

Valuable ideas and new impulses come from the sales department and thanks to the close collaboration with the research, development and production department, are transformed into new projects. Change and innovation, without ever neglecting quality, functionality, and safety, are the basis of Miglionico’s growth path.

This year, for example, we have expanded our range of products by presenting at IDS (Cologne, Germany) both the new NICE TOUCH surgical dental unit, equipped with a colour LCD Touch Screen display and the UNITABLE, the student training desk and we are already working on new ambitious projects.

An excellent job has been done by our export sales department in the last few years, allowing Miglionico to expand and consolidate its presence in different markets and countries. A painstaking and complex task as each country and market has its own specifications and needs.

Katia Cea, Global Export Manager, gives us her insights

To what do you owe your success in leading foreign markets?

When I joined Miglionico in 2010, I immediately realized the potential opportunity of the Company in the international panorama and I proposed to Mr Miglionico to wager on a new adventure seeing that at that time our units were sold only in the Italian market.

So thanks to his trust in my aims and to his foresight, we participated for the first time in IDS in Cologne and since then we started selling concretely with the first 3 countries which have now become approximately more than 40 split in almost all of Europe, Russia, The Gulf Region, Africa and Southern Asia.

Nowadays my objective is to structure the export department by launching and guiding some new export area managers to deeply follow each specific market with dedicating always more and more time and care to be closer to our distributors and partners.

The excellent results obtained in recent years are the outcome of a synergetic job between the technical and commercial staff. We try to keep our quality standards high to offer a valid product that can be promoted. It is important to work to implement the network of distributors and widespread presence in vast areas, in order to offer an efficient pre- and post-sales service.

We are happy that our 100% Italian production is recognized worldwide as an added value and as a symbol of quality and technical excellence.

Future Projects?

In the next three years, the Americas, Japan and Northern Asia are in my plans to be approached.

My task is supported by the fact that our products are being constantly updated and developed according to the various market demands.

The novelty of the future will consist in products that integrate multiple functionalities related to new technologies. Products that will allow the operator to interact with instruments in complete freedom and safety. The unit will thoroughly become the fulcrum of the entire dental office and dental equipment.
