Community Dental Services CIC (CDS) is a referral only dental service providing community dental care, oral health improvement and epidemiology surveys across much of the East of England and the East Midlands. We have 56 clinics and 5 mobile dental units. CDS’s patients typically have complex additional needs such as learning disabilities, autism and mental health issues, or are in situations that traditional dental care cannot reach, for example due to homelessness. We are also contracted to provide dental care in some of HM Prisons. We treat paediatric patients, often with very high levels of dental need.

Owned entirely by our employees, CDS is a community interest company and social enterprise, with surplus reinvested in-patient care and employee development. Employees are represented through our governance structure to Board level. Our patient satisfaction level in the national benchmark of NHS Friends and Family Survey is consistently 99%.
