Soft Skills: What the Oral Health Team Can Learn from Dental Nurses

Objectives: 
        1. By the end of the session, participants will recognise the key soft skills dental nurses use to enhance patient care and team collaboration. 

        2. Participants will understand how these soft skills improve patient communication, reduce anxiety, and support treatment outcomes. 

        3. By the conclusion of the session, participants will be able to apply at least one dental nurse-inspired soft skill in their own practice to improve patient care. 

Aims:  The aim is to highlight the critical soft skills dental nurses bring to clinical practice, and to enable oral health professionals to recognise, understand, and apply these skills. The session emphasises improved patient experience, adherence, and outcomes, alongside promoting effective team collaboration and a patient-centred approach in modern oral healthcare.
