Dental caries prevention, and management in children: Monitor, Drill and Fill or Seal!
Objectives:
1. To give overview on dental caries in children, its process and prevention.
2. To discuss the various approaches available in managing dental caries in children including the conventional approach of complete caries removal, indirect pulp capping and pulp therapy as well as minimal intervention dentistry including Hall Technique, silver diamine fluoride and selective caries removal.
3. To discuss evidence base behind each technique to make informed decisions on it’s use in caries management
Aims: This course aims to provide dental professionals with the knowledge and skills to effectively utilize the preventive care of dental caries and minimal intervention dentistry in caries management including silver diamine fluoride (SDF) and Hall Technique in managing dental caries in children.
