Oral and general health – an essential partnership

‘Putting the mouth back in the body’ could be considered a slogan of dentistry as we evaluate the important role oral health team members play in promoting overall health. This demands closer relationships with colleagues across the healthcare spectrum as well as fresh ideas to drive the public health narrative. Novel dental health campaigns will be discussed during this session alongside research underpinning the mouth as an entry point to wider disease.
