Dr Catherine Rutland, head of professional support services, Simplyhealth Professionals
Good record keeping is imperative to provide information in the future to ourselves and other team members. They are also our main line of defence in the case of a complaint. With team involvement we can create good contemporaneous records to meet these requirements. Achieving this in a busy practice environment can be a challenge but one we can overcome.
- Feel confident that our records are robust by understanding current guidelines
- Understand how the whole team need to be involved in the process to support the clinicians
- Include relevant information that is useful to ourselves, our teams and will support us if a complaint is made against us
