CDO Zone

As dentistry is changing. This years CDO Zone provided a unique opportunity to engage with those shaping NHS policy at the highest level.

Sara Hurley, the Chief Dental Officer England said, “The show was a tremendous success for us. Having a platform in which we could directly engage with so many dental professionals face-to-face and facilitate discussion around our initiatives and their experiences in practice was invaluable. This is the perfect example of industry coming together for the good of oral health, and we’re delighted to be a part of it. We are already looking forward to 2018.”

A mini-lecture theatre was located within the Zone, featuring a rolling programme of free-to-attend vCPD presentations and workshops covering policy and practice as the CDO worked to bring dentistry into the digital age.

In addition to the Zone, the CDO introduced four keynote speakers in the 2017 event’s flagship feature the ‘Practice of the Future’, including two sessions (Thursday and Friday) on ‘Successfully Navigating the NHS Procurement Process’.

The keynote sessions were also repeated as more intimate plenary sessions on the Zone, allowing access for many dental professionals to access critical information. All of the speakers were available throughout the three days to take questions from visitors and discuss the future of NHS dentistry.

Never before had the CDO and her team been so accessible to the dental profession. This was a unique opportunity to meet with, engage and discuss the issues in modern dentistry with those shaping policy.
